Three Members of EFTM Completes Their Path in Pathways Program

Shajil Kader, DTM, TM Kunhikoya Thannieth, and TM Sabari Prasad R completed their paths in the Pathways Program during our Meeting #181 held on February 13, 2019. The meeting was graced by District 116P PQD, Raghavan Menon, DTM. Completion of three Paths in a single meeting was first of its kind in the whole District.

EFTM Members Wins at Area Speech Contest

It was EF Toastmasters who dominated the Area 08 Speech Contest held on February 01, 2019. Club members have bagged at least one award in each category of the contest.

TM Ram Mohan won the First place in the International Speech and Third place in the Table Topics Speech. Shajil Kader, DTM, won Second place in Humorous Speech, Table Topics Speech and Evaluation Speech, and Third place in International Speech. TM Kunhikoya Thannieth won Third place in Humorous Speech. TM Muhammed Anseer won Third place in Evaluation Speech.

EF Toastmaster members TM Sabari Prasad R, TM Ranjith Sukumar and TM Shehariyas Kandy actively participated in the planning and execution of running the Area 08 contest successfully under the guidance of Area Director TM Sajeev Kumar.

EFTM Completes Annual Speech Contest

EF Toastmasters conducted its Annual Speech Contest in two days (January 08, 2019 and January 22, 2019).

On the first day, Humorous Speech and Table Topics Speech was conducted.

TM Ranjith Sukumar was the Contest Manager and the Contest Chairs TM Brijroy and TM Dipen for Table Topics Speech and Humorous Speech contests respectively. Sabeena, DTM was the Chief Judge of Table Topics Speech and TM Vimal Raj as the Chief Judge of Humorous Speech.

On the second day, Evaluation Speech and Internationa Speech was conducted.

TM Althaf was the Contest Manager and the Contest Chairs TM Marphi Skaria and TM Ranjith Sukumar for Evaluation Speech and International Speech contests respectively. Division C Director, TM Sudhir Gujjar, was the Chief Judge of both speech contests.

Congratulations to all the winners and we wish you success at the Area/Division/District levels.

EFTM Achieves SMEDLEY and Dazzling Membership Award

EF Toastmasters achieved the prestigious SMEDLEY award by adding 5 new members in the month of September and also the Dazzling Membership award by renewing 26 members before September 15, 2018.

Thanks to all our members to help us achieve these two awards.

7/7 Attendance in the COT (Club Officers Training)

 

EF Toastmasters achieved 7/7 attendance in the first Club officer trainings conducted by the District 116P at Olive International School on June 8, 2018 and July 27, 2018.

The next phase of the COT will be in December 2018.

EFTM felicitates first DTM of District 116P

 

Engineers Forum Toastmasters (EFTM) recently organized the first meeting of the year, DTM Night, at Crown Plaza Hotel. The meeting was to felicitate TM Aagi John on his Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) achievement, the highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters. Aagi John is the first Toastmaster to receive the DTM award for the newly formed Toastmasters District 116P, covering the whole of Qatar, the fourth from EFTM and 30th in Qatar.

Other members from the Toastmasters’ fraternity, who attended the event, included Rajeswar Sundaresan, District Director; Raghavan Menon, District Program Quality Director; Virandra Nath, District TLI Chair; Sudheer Gujar, Division C Director; and Sajeev Kumar, Area 8 Director.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajeswar said that DTM is a lifelong credential for excellence. DTM plaque should be a reminder of how the Toastmasters programme is transformational. Further, an achievers responsibility is to support fellow members in their growth and transformation.

EF Toastmasters Club celebrates Annual Day

 

EF Toastmasters Club celebrated its annual day on June 5, 2018 at The Horizon Manor and the event was attended by all members and their families. The meeting was opened by Muhammad Anseer, President of the club, who welcomed the members and guests. Joseph Amande, key note speaker for the occasion, spoke on accent globalization. The president’s report outlined the club achievements for the year. EF Toastmasters Club, which has been selected as the best club in Division J, had a glorious year with many feathers in its cap, including 24 educational awards, seven TMI awards and 22 district awards. 
The meeting also witnessed two important annual events. The first was the installation of a new executive committee for 2018-19. The second was induction of new members into the club.
The dignitaries present on the occasion were namely, Raghavan Menon, TLI Chair; Venkatesh, Division J Director; Bijith Biju, Division Q Director; Singaraju, Area 29 Director; and Aagi John, Area 26 Director. EF Gavel Club felicitated its stars and the gaveliors entertained the gathering with some interactive games. The meeting was adjourned following a grand buffet iftar.

Installation of New Executive Committee for 2018-19

 

During the Annual Day meeting the installation of the new executive committee for 2018-19 was also done.
The newly elected executive committee members are namely, Sabari Prasad, President; Ranjith Sukumar, Vice President Education; Ram Mohan Nair, Vice President Membership; Shehariyas Kandy, Vice President Public Relations; Younes Kunju, Treasurer; Dipen, Secretary; Nijith and Althaf, Sergeant at Arms. TM Aagi John acted as the Installation Officer.

EF Toastmasters awarded as the Best Club in Division J

 

EF Toastmasters Club has been selected as the best club in Division J during the Division J Titan Awards Ceremony on June 06, 2018 at Shalimar Restaurant, Doha.

Along with the Best Club Award, EF Toastmasters also received the award for the Best Newsletter in Division.

EF Toastmasters had a glorious year with many feathers in its cap, including 24 educational awards, seven TI awards and 22 District awards.
